Rudy Park - Luigi
Particularly appreciated in the Verdi and Verismo repertoire, he made his debut
as Calaf (Turandot) in 2008 in Italy, after studying at the Accademia di
Santa Cecilia in Rome. He then furthered his studies in Italy and Germany. Among
his past successes, it is worth mentioning: Tosca (Verona-Teatro Filarmonico,
Torre del Lago, Genoa); Turandot (Michigan Opera, Bogotà, Detroit, Nancy,
Cagliari, Genoa); Ernani (Bologna then on tour in Japan); Cavalleria Rusticana,
Trovatore, I Vespri Siciliani (Athens); Norma (Budapest); Cavalleria Rusticana
(Las Palmas, Palermo). In 2011 Mr. Park made his debut at the Nikikai Opera Foundation
in Tokyo as Calaf in Turandot under the baton of Gianluigi Gelmetti. Recently
he obtained great success as Radames in Aida in Liège and Skopje and he made
his debut in Otello (title role) at the Korea National Opera in Seoul, role
he sang also in Las Palmas and at the Teatro Regio in Parma for the opening night
of the season at the Festival Verdi; important commitments followed: Tosca
in Athens; Cavalleria Rusticana at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Turandot
and Tosca at the Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago; Turandot at the
Opera Sanxay and in Montpellier (Yannis Kokkos directing); Aida in Warsaw;
a lyric concert in Leipzig with the Gewandhaus Orchester.
Plans: Turandot in Las Palmas, Marseille, Genoa, Bari and at Macau
International Music Festival; Otello (Title role) in Daejon; Samson et Dalila
in Salerno; recital at the Opera Sanxay.

Rani Calderon - conductor
Music Director at the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy.
M° Calderon has gained international acclaim both in operatic and symphonic repertoire
performing in the dual capacity of conductor and pianist. Rani Calderon collaborates,
among others, with Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv,
Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg, Vlaamse Opera in
Antwerp, and Monte Carlo Opera. M° Calderon conducted Meyerbeer's Semiramide
at Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca, edited in DVD by Dynamic.
From season 2009 to 2012 one, M° Calderon was Principal Conductor at Teatro Municipal
in Santiago de Chile where he conducted amongst others: Don Giovanni, Un Ballo
in Maschera, Tannhäuser, Elektra,L'Italiana in Algeri,
Aida and Lucrezia Borgia. Amongst his successful engagements it is
worth mentioning: Andrea Chénier at Opéra de Monte Carlo; Gounod's Faust
in Bilbao and Dresden; Euryanthe and Oberon at Théâtre du Capitole
in Toulouse; Aida and Eugene Onegin at Théâtre Municipal d'Avignon;
Simon Boccanegra in Strasbourg; Der Fliegende Hollaender in Warsaw;
Puccini’s Il Trittico, new year’s eve concert and lyric concert with the
Wiener KammerOrchester at Theater an der Wien in Vienna; Rossini’s Semiramide
in Copenhagen; Symphony No. 2 (Mahler) in Santiago de Chile; Don Giovanni
and Ariadne auf Naxos in Toulon; La Bohème in Dresden; Carmen
in Kiel. At Opéra National de Lorraine, M° Calderon led Turandot, Nabucco, Aleko,
Francesca da Rimini, Orphée et Eurydice, Les pêcheurs de perles, a series
of concerts while in next seasons he will conduct: Le coq d’or (Rimskij-Korsakov),
Ariadne auf Naxos, Don Giovanni and Un Ballo in Maschera, Mozart’s
Requiem and a series of concerts.
Other plans include: Un Ballo in Maschera
in Toulon; series of concerts in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Kiel and Saint- Étienne, Bloomington.
